Dear Brothers in Christ:

Here is the latest on Bill Jenkin’s son, Cliff. Please pray!!!
Terri called just over an hour ago.  Here is her message; "Please pass the word for prayer for God's comfort and strength. Cliff will be going home within the next few days with Hospice. The oncologist said we are talking weeks”.
Please pray—
·        For God’s will to be done
·        Comfort for Cliff. His testimony continues to be God glorifying. Yesterday he encouraged me!
·        Comfort for Megan—perhaps this is the biggest request. She is a mighty woman of God and married Cliff knowing he was terminal.
·        Comfort for Terri. His former pastor (and friend of ours) was there when they got the news. He was able to spend time with Terri as well as Cliff and Megan. God’s timing is wonderful
·        Pray for Cliff’s brothers and sisters and others
·        I am home in Michigan and planning to head out as soon as possible (Lord willing within a couple of hours). I will be driving to NH or Boston . I anticipate that it will be one of the hardest trips of my life yet also a time of precious fellowship with the Lord; my trips in 2004 when Cliff was in critical care evidenced this. I know it sounds contradictory, but it is not. A dear friend has offered to drive with me but I don’t think that’s a need.
Terri thinks Cliff may come home tomorrow. I will know more as I travel and will determine whether to go to NH or Boston ; either way it is close to 1000 miles.
Here is where I’ve spent some time with the Lord after Terri called me;
2 Cor 1:3-5 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Isn’t that something! What a precious God we serve.
Thanks for praying.  Not only do we appreciate them—we desperately depend on them.

In His Amazing Grace,
