A Word from Dr. David Little--FOM Executive Committee Chairman

The Fellowship of Missions is a separatist organization of mission agencies, formed to provide

fellowship, information, and to be a separatist voice for those who advance the cause of Christ

throughout the world.

As a young pastor many years ago, I remember receiving an article from

FOM comparing different mission associations and their member agencies. This

chart was helpful to me as a young pastor trying to honor Christ and lead the

church to support missionaries connected with God-honoring, separated

agencies. It truly was a “voice” for fundamental missions.

Presently, FOM is seeking a man to serve as President. The executive committee is actively

searching for the right man to lead this organization. Please pray that the Lord will reveal the man of

His choosing to lead us forward. The executive committee hopes to present a nomination to the body

at the annual meeting in September.

from FOM 2007 Annual Conference workshop)

In this day of theological confusion, there is a great need for biblical truth throughout the mission

fields of the world. FOM stands as a clear voice for separatist fundamentalism. Many in Christendom

struggle with taking a doctrinal stand that draws a line of separation between believers. But the truth

is that every believer does believe and practices separation. The difference is where each believer

draws the line. The Fellowship of Missions brings together agencie

Mission Agencies need to recognize and avail themselves of ever increasing opportunities to extend

their ministries. Leadership must provide proactive direction to its personnel. Frequently, missionaries

in remote areas are better equipped and informed than their home offices. It is time to change!

ABSENT FROM THE BODY, PRESENT WITH THE LORD

On January 6, 2008, at approximately 4:30 a.m. ABWE President Emeritus Dr. Wendell W.

Kempton slipped the bonds of his cancer-ridden body and entered the presence of His Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ. Dr. Kempton was surrounded by his wife and children at his home in Lititz, PA, as he

passed from earth to heaven.

As we have heard him say so many times at the home going of saints to whom he ministered,

“GLORY!”

Please be in prayer for Dr. Kempton’s wife, Ruth, and immediate and extended family during

time. The family is at peace that Wendell is no longer suffering from the cancer that took his life but is

now experiencing the eternal life & joy he proclaimed to so many people around the world.

New hosted web publishing system available to missionaries

(The following information is being provided as a source for web publishing assistance. Please note this does not indicate

an endorsement by the Fellowship of Missions.)

Mark Whitcher, a web developer based in Pensacola, Florida, has developed a web publishing

system called Net-at-hand (available at net-at-hand.com) that he wants to make available to

missionaries. The system is simple enough for anyone to use, and Mark also offers full support to

anyone who needs help. Net-at-hand provides everything needed to create a great-looking website

(web address, professional designs, tools for blogs, albums, calendars, and more). It takes just a

minute to create a free account and have a functioning website ready to fill with content.

Mark's burden is for God to use this system to further the ministries of missionaries around the

world. In order to accomplish this, he is doing two things to help missionaries create websites.

First, Mark has created a special pricing plan for missionaries. This plan doubles the size of the

site missionaries can create for free, and also provides a 25% discount for any paid-level plan. Just tell

your missionaries to enter the promotion code “fom0108” (without the quotation marks) when they

create a free account at net-at-hand.com. Many of your missionaries may need only what is provided

with the free plan.

Second, Mark is writing a series of informative articles to help missionaries create effective

websites. You can view articles at missionaryblogging.net-at-hand.com. This information is coming

from insights gained while serving the Lord as the lead designer for A Beka Book publications for over

thirteen years.
